I love romance.

‘For thy sweet love remembered such wealth brings
That I scorn to change my state with kings’
     Shakespeare, Sonnets XXIX

        Big sigh. Wasn’t that beautiful?

I love to read.  When buying books, the historical romance section is where I head first.  Georgette Hyer and Claire Darcy were the authors who got me started reading romance, specifically Regency romance. For years I wouldn’t read historicals unless they were set in the Regency period. Can’t recall the author’s name who led me to other time periods, but I’m glad she did.  Possibly I read all her Regency books and was desperate for more. Desperate enough to venture into other time periods.  Another world opened up for me.
Like most writers, I’ve always written. Voluntarily, I wrote short stories in elementary school and beyond, and angst-riddled poems in my teens.  Fortunately, I’ve improved as I’ve aged.  Blue Moon Reunion in the Blue Moon Enchantment anthology is my first published work.  There is usually an element of fantasy~paranormal in my work.  Slips right in.  I’m working on other short stories for future anthologies and polishing up my Time Travel for submission.
I do read other types of fiction, and love to read about history and biographies.  The Aquatic Ape Hypothesis intrigues me, and I believe I’ve read all of Elaine Morgan’s books on the subject.
My clan mother is Jasmine, and my father’s clan father is Wodan.  Yes, I did the mouth swab-y thing and sent it in to Oxford Ancestors for analysis.  As you can tell, another interest of mine is my family genealogy.  Sometimes you get lucky and are related to someone who has already done a lot of research on the branch you’re studying.  So far, my family goes back to England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales,  France, Acadia and—during those years when Cromwell was in power—the Netherlands.
I’ve been to England twice, Ireland once.  Beautiful, beautiful.  Looking forward to returning and doing more research.  Want to visit Wales and Scotland, too.  I took a lot of pictures while I was in England and Ireland, so please take a look on my photo pages and I can share with you some of the beauty I saw.
Thank you for coming to my web site.  Let me know what you think and please come back again.
